There’s no shortage of emotional triggers these days, including the whipsaw effect of the Delta variant putting in-person schooling at risk.

VUCA conditions (Volatile, Unpredictable, Complex, and Ambiguous) like these put our adulting and parenting skills to the test, and we tend to find ourselves putting out sustained effort and often only treading water to rest.

When we learn how to deepen our self-awareness and strengthen our powers of attention and self-regulation, we can access our resources and relationship skills much more readily, and we can parent more effectively.

Join Psychotherapist and Senior UCLA MARC Mindfulness Instructor, Brian Shiers, as he brings the new science of emotion theory that clarifies why we get triggered and how to build resilience and open to more flow.

SIX PARTS
