
How to Motivate Teens to Do Hard Things
For reasons we don’t fully understand, today’s teens appear to be more prone to anxiety, worry, and internalized pressures than generations past. While our students might be very diligent at academic and athletic practice, they also could be encouraged to practice emotion resilience skills, which are the foundation for performing well and living a balanced life.
In this mindfulness session, we’ll explore the research on what’s known as the science deliberate practice and how it applies to everything from memorization to mindfulness meditation to regulating our anxiety and worry.
